You’ll find over 1000 wines from around the world on the Bentley’s eclectic wine list. Carefully compiled by sommelier Nick Hildebrandt, the list focuses on the wines we think are the best match for the cuisine of the Bentley with large selections of Champagne, Riesling, Burgundy and The Rhone Valley, as well as wines from Italy, Spain, Germany and Australia.
The list contains numerous producers whose wines are rare and of limited production. Many of the wines we serve are organic, bio-dynamic and preservative free. We also work with small producers to create wines that are exclusive to the Bentley such as our ongoing relationship with Adelaide Hills producer Lucy Margaux who makes our ‘Bentley Barrel’ Pinot Noir and Roussanne. We offer more than 30 wines by the glass so you’ll have the opportunity to try a few with dinner, or come to have supper at the bar.
Our wine list has been recognised as one of the country’s finest. In 2015, it was named ‘Australia’s Best Wine List’ at Gourmet Traveller WINE’s Wine List of the Year Awards, as well as Nick Hildebrandt receiving the Judy Hirst Award for the Sommelier Responsible for the Winning List. Nick also received the ‘Sommelier of the Year’ Award at the Australian Gourmet Traveller’s Restaurant Guide Awards in 2015 which followed on from several other awards and accolades over the years including having twice won the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide ‘Wine List of the Year’ in 2006 and 2012.
